What about spending one or two days at the weekend at TusenFryd? TusenFryd is in Vinterbro in Ås, only 25 minutes from Oslo.

If you love shopping, you’re in for a treat. You can combine a visit to TusenFryd with shopping at the Vinterbro shopping centre or Oslo Fashion Outlet, which has 50 stores that sell some of the world’s most famous brands. Free parking spaces and excellent restaurants can be found at both shopping centres.

If you’re looking for a more relaxing experience, you can take a walk along Breivoll beach and go for a swim in the cold and refreshing water. Another option is to take the idyllic route from Breivoll to Svartskog, through beautiful woods where you will come across several bathing spots and cabins and a scenic view of the fjord. Ekebergparken is also well worth a visit. A wonderful view of Oslo and the beautiful sculptures created by international artists are guaranteed to cause an impression. The Park is free to enter and can be visited year-round.

If you’re wondering what to do this weekend, there is a place wanting to be visited by all Norwegians: TusenFryd, the amusement park in Vinterbro. It’s considered Norway’s biggest amusement park and offers spectacular rollercoasters, carousels, a water park, shops, restaurants and, most of all, a lot of fun!

Visit TusenFryd and have fun from the get-go on any of the attractions. If you enjoy exciting thrills, take a ride on the SpeedMonster, suitable for adolescents and adults who enjoy an adrenaline kick. SpeedMonster is the fastest rollercoaster in the country, and it’s the only one that turns the visitor’s upside down several times. When you enter the attraction, you take a seat in one of the racer cars, which gathers speed from 0 to 90 in only two seconds. Are you ready? ThunderCoaster is another one of the park’s super attractions – for the bold only. People who love rollercoasters know that a wooden rollercoaster is synonymous with extraordinary rides.  Ideal for both adolescents and adults, this rollercoaster gains speed of up to 100km/h and you will be weightless twelve times. It’s considered one of the world’s most impressive wooden rollercoasters.

If you visit us on a warm day, feel free to visit Ragnarok, an attraction for the whole family, in which you find yourself on a fleet in a river in the world of the Vikings. You go round and round, through waterfalls and currents – you’ll laugh, scream and, above all, have fun while the water splashes around you. If the sun isn’t out, it’s best to put on something waterproof before embarking on this journey! And if you happen to have forgotten waterproof clothes at home – don’t worry! Rain ponchos can be purchased in all the park’s shops and different sizes are available for the entire family.

‘What to do this weekend?’ Another experience suitable for the whole family is Thor’s Hammer. If you’re a fan of the Marvel hero, you’ll love this attraction. Your mission is to help Thor find his missing hammer. To do so, you must enter a 4-dimensional world, whilst sitting in carts that rotate according to the action and take you on a journey through Norse history. How? Thanks to some amazing 3D-projections with supercool scenes. The 3D-projections take you to the land of the God of Thunder.

The youngest children will love Finkarusellen, a truly artistic and elegant carousel. While sitting on the horseback or in a beautiful cart, you can relax and contemplate the wonderful paintings and listen to the harmonious music playing. Finkarusellen is one of the classic attractions at TusenFryd. This carousel gives you a good, old-fashioned fairground feeling.

Still not sure what to do this weekend? Time to take a break and gain strength at TusenFryd. Nothing better than to take a seat at one of our excellent restaurants, such as Vertshuset, the biggest restaurant in the park and located in the middle of Tusenfryd. It’s undoubtedly the ideal place to enjoy a meal with the whole family. The restaurant offers a rich selection of pasta and pizza and many other tasty dishes. What would you like for dessert? A delicious ice cream or a hot, lovely coffee-

Between the attractions SpinSpider and Tømmerstupet you’ll find Fryds Bakeri, the perfect place to make a quick stop and gain strength. They serve the most delicious pastries and cakes. At Isslottet you can taste the best ice cream of the park. It’s located straight across from the Loop[NS1] and it’s the perfect place to have an ice cream. You can even create your own ice cream! How? Choose your flavour and add the ingredients you want. If you prefer, you can decorate with a wafer or cold whipped cream. It’s up to you! In either case, on your way out you’ll have gained new strength and be ready to continue having fun in this amazing Norwegian amusement park.

Take a trip to TusenFryd if you’re looking for a different, fun, and unforgettable weekend! The entry gate itself is quite an experience, as it is one of the most inventive entry gates to an amusement park. Can you imagine entering through one of the loops in one of the most impressive rollercoasters that exist via one of Northern Europe’s longest escalators? That is how you gain access to this area in which nature and adrenaline are combined into perfection.

Once you arrive, the first thing you’ll notice is the TusenFryd Shop. Here you can buy souvenirs, swimwear, sunglasses, toys, clothes, soft drinks, ice cream and sweets. Everything you need can be found there! At the M.K. Country Store, located in Morgan Kane City, or Westernbyen, you’ll find everything from hats, dream catchers and rain wear for the water attractions, ice cream and soft drinks. And if you’re lucky enough to have a little princess in the family, make sure not to miss Prinsessen på erten. This shop, located by Finkarusellen, is home to everything a real princess needs to look the part. There are dresses, crowns, trinkets, teddy bears and much more. It is without doubt a paradise for every little girl.

You don’t have to worry about the water temperature. Even if it’s cold in the fjord, the water temperature here is always 25°C. There are also lounges available, so you can relax while the lifeguards make sure that your children are safe.
